A specialist society for Prussian philately and postal history
The Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Preußen für Philatelie und Postgeschichte e. V. is a German
specialist society within the Bund Deutscher Philatelisten (BDPh). It is dedicated to
the philately and postal history of Prussia, including stamps, postal stationery,
cancellations, postal routes and the historical background of the Prussian postal system.
Founded in 1976, the society continues the
tradition of the former Preußen-Zirkel. Its members range from collectors taking their
first steps in the field to experienced specialists who work with postal documents,
literature and archival sources.
International collectors are warmly invited to get in touch, compare material and
exchange observations. Even specialised questions about Prussian postal stationery,
cancellations or postal history often become easier to answer when material and
literature can be discussed within an experienced community.
